[Vainly can be: with emptiness (without cause or reason; i.e. to further one's own vanity)] [The words here in Mat 5:22 don't matter, but the way in which they are expressed or meant. Empty-head is an expression of contempt. The Greek here could be simply ‘fool’ said as an expression of condemnation or could be a transliteration of ‘Moreh’ which is a Hebrew expression of condemnation.] Matthew 25:41 Then he will also say to them at the left, Travel away from me, the ones who have been cursed into the everlasting fire which has been prepared for the devil and his messengers. Matthew 13:42 and will be casting them into the furnace of fire – the weeping and the gnashing of teeth will be there. Matthew 8:12 but the sons of the kingdom will be cast forth into the outer darkness– the weeping and the gnashing of teeth will be there. And over all these things, a great chasm has been established between us and you, that the ones who wish to cross over from here to you may not be able, nor may they ferry over from there to us. But he said, Therefore father, I am requesting him in order that you should send him to my father’s house; for I have five brethren; that he may thoroughly testify to them, in order that they may not even come into this place of torment. Abraham says to him, They have Moses and the prophets. Let them hear them. But he said, No, father Abraham, but if someone travels to them from the dead, they will be repenting. But he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if someone rises up from the dead. And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, which is the lake of fire. And if anyone was not found, having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the lake of fire. THE END TIMES Dan 1:1-13 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God. And he carried them into the land of Shinar to the house of his god and he brought the vessels into the treasure-house of his god. And the king spoke to Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in certain of the sons of Israel, even of the seed royal and of the ranking men, youths in whom was no blemish, but fine-looking and skillful in all wisdom and endued with knowledge and understanding science and such as had ability to stand in the king's palace. And that he should teach them the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans. And the king appointed for them a daily portion of the king's food and of the wine which he drank. And that they should be nourished three years, that at the end of it they should stand before the king. Now among these were, of the sons of Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. And the ruler of the eunuchs gave names to them. To Daniel he gave the name of Belteshazzar and to Hananiah, of Shadrach and to Mishael, of Meshach and to Azariah, of Abed-nego. But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's food, nor with the wine which he drank. Therefore he requested of the ruler of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God made Daniel find kindness and compassion in the sight of the ruler of the eunuchs. And the ruler of the eunuchs said to Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink. For why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths that are of your own age? So you would endanger my head with the king. Then Daniel said to the steward whom the ruler of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, I beseech you, test your servants ten days and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before you and the countenance of the youths that eat of the king's food. And as you see, deal with your servants. 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10 This is an example of the righteous judgment of God; that you may be deemed worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which you are also suffering; if indeed it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to the ones who are afflicting you; and to you who are afflicted with us, a relief at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the messengers of his power, giving vengeance in a fire of flame {i.e. in flaming fire} to the ones who do not know God and to the ones who are not obeying the good-news of our Lord Jesus, who will be suffering-punishment, the sentence of everlasting utter-destruction away from the face of the Lord, and away from the glory of his strength, whenever he comes to be glorified in his holy-ones, and to be marveled at in that day in all the ones who have believed, (because our testimony to you was believed).
