Do Those Who Do Not Have The Knowledge Of Good And Evil Go To Heaven?

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

2 Samuel 12:23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

I believe this shows that:

I. How can one who does not understand good from evil or right from wrong have sinned?;

II. Paul is talking to adults who need salvation (There are many situations in Godís Word where women and children are not specifically mentioned. The reason may well be that women and children are considered family, enless specifically mentioned. [ie: Acts 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.]

III. David will see the child in Heaven;

IV. This story is there to help us to understand Godís love for those who were not yet able to understand good from evil or right from wrong;

A. Children;

B. Those who do not have the ability to understand good from evil or right from wrong;

Conclusion:

1. While the Bible does not have a ďThey Shall or They Shall NotĒ it gives us an example of Godís love for children;

2. This shows that while David had sinned against God, David did not believe that God would withhold Heaven from the child;

3. Those who can not understand good from evil or right from wrong can not have sinned;
